Obscura Studio is owned & operated by Alicia Mecca, balayage technique, foil work, dry & texture cutting & I-Tip extension specialist.  Alicia has over 10 years of experience in the cosmetology industry, starting with her graduation from the Jolie Hair & Beauty Academy in 2012.  Throughout the years she has trained amongst many industry leaders & revolutionaries including Nick Arrojo’s Educators (@arrojonyc), Jenny Strebe (@theconfessionsofahairstylist), Lisa Hart-Walker (@lisalovesbalayage), & many more!

 

Alicia has always dreamed of creating a comfortable, yet unique atmosphere where she could provide a personal experience for every client that came to her to achieve their hair goals, & so, Obscura Studio was born!  When you come to Obscura Studio with an idea for your hair in mind Alicia has created a space to work her magic, bring your idea to life & allow your personality to shine through your hair. In addition to creating in the studio, Alicia also works with many brides & their wedding parties to create personalized hairstyles for everyone both in the studio & on-site.
